I was surprised to see my Tumbularity rating had gone up recently; it’s not a large number but I couldn’t see why it had gone up from an all-time low of 1. So, I looked at the people who had liked/reblogged any of my posts. This led to clicking on many links and seeing all sorts of different images on many Tumblr blogs, which was really cool, and led to this: Pac-Samurai by Jared Morritis. Go to his blog post for a further explanation. I just wish I could remember where I first saw this to give credit where credit is due.

I’m sure this is really old (in internet terms, anyway), but I only recently saw this: an art deco X-Men poster by Eric Tan. This is absolutely gorgeous, and I love it. [Via the X-Men!! Tumblr]

This is the variant Kevin Maguire cover to X-Factor #200, the relaunch of the Peter David littler corner of the mutant universe. Maguire sure draws expressive faces, and this is no different.

A digression: this is part of a wallpaper that Paul Duffield created for FreakAngels, the free online comic written by Warren Ellis and drawn by Duffield updated every Friday. Even though you can buy trade collections of the book, the entire archives still remain free. There is no excuse not to read it. The fact that it is entertaining and smart and engaging also help.

DC comics for February 2010: it would be a nice world where Frank Quitely could do a monthly comic on time. We don’t live in that ideal world, so we have to make do with his covers. This is for Batman and Robin #8.
