About
A collection of vital visuals, daily, centred on comic books and cinema. Because their beauty must be preserved.
DC comics for August 2012: this is going to be a short one. Only one cover for my selection from this month’s solicitations because I am one of those people who won’t be buying Before Watchmen or even posting images related to it, despite the fact that some talented artists are producing artwork for it. Therefore, this is the cover for Legends of the Dark Knight: Alan Davis hardcover, drawn by Alan Davis (obviously), which is a collection of various Batman comics drawn by Davis from early in his career. And that’s all.

Final piece of Alan Davis art (for now): this is the other cover for Wolverine Annual #1, drawn by Alan.

More Alan Davis art: this is the cover for Wolverine Annual #1, the third comic written and drawn by Alan that will feature his creation, The ClanDestine. Seeing the characters again makes me a happy comic book guy.

Continuing Alan Davis art: this is the other cover for Daredevil Annual #1, drawn by Alan. I reckon this will be the main cover: The ClanDestine are not famous enough to be the draw on an annual with a well-known character, unfortunately.

It’s time for some Alan Davis art: this is one of the covers for Daredevil Annual #1, drawn by Alan. It’s the second comic of three (the first will be Fantastic Four Annual #33) in which Alan is writing and drawing, featuring his creation The ClanDestine (as you can see on the image).

Marvel comics for July 2012: this is the cover for Fantastic Four Annual #33, drawn by Alan Davis. This is of particular interest to me because Davis is writing and drawing this book, and it will see the return of the ClanDestine, characters from one of my favourite comic books.

Marvel comics for July 2012: a small selection of my favourite covers the this month’s solicitations. To start with, we have a variant cover for Avengers Vs X-Men #8, drawn by Alan Davis. Not only is it a dynamic image, but I like the little bits of Avengers history falling in the image as well.

This is the cover to Secret Avengers #27, drawn by Alan Davis, with lots of Marvels.

Marvel comics for April 2012: I’ve already posted some covers from the month already, but here are a few more. This is Captain America #10 by Alan Davis, which is another classic dynamic action cover.

MTV Geek posted this cover to Secret Avengers #26, drawn by Alan Davis, which is a special tie-in to the Avengers Vs X-Men story. Alan Davis drawing Captain Britain makes me a happy chap.

Newsarama have posted preview art from Captain America #7, drawn by Alan Davis. Even a quiet page such as this is a thing of beauty.

Marvel comics for March 2012: this is the cover to Captain America #9, drawn by Alan Davis, although there is nothing about the cover that suggests it is a Captain America comic. Keep you on your toes.

Marvel comics for February 2012: even though this is a picture of an ugly Steve Rogers, it is still a good cover. It’s for Captain America #8 by Alan Davis.

From New York Comic Con: I’m going out on a limb and saying that this is the cover to Captain America #7, because Alan Davis is a professional artist who meets his deadlines. He is also an awesome artist, but you knew that already.
