Arthur Adams 1991: Livingstone Mountain #1

Curator’s Note: There is without a doubt a ton of Arthur Adams on Tumblr, and all I’m really doing is putting an artist’s work in chronological order and providing some commentary (of dubious quality). This is one of a few instances I think I can bring some rare “deep cuts” that folks may not have seen before. Enjoy!

Livingstone Mountain was a 4-issue indie sci-fi comic series by Steve Moncuse (of Fish Police fame). The 2-page backup feature he wrote for Adams has nothing to do with it. In it, he not-so-gently slams artists who were “more than inspired” by Adams’ popular style. Even Adams himself gets some gentle ribbing in the form of mentioning “time-consuming diversions,” a suggesting Adams’ slower-than-average pace may have something to do with getting distracted.
