Marvel comics for July 2013: this is the cover for Hawkeye #13, drawn by David Aja, with a great muted design.
Marvel comics for December 2012: this is the cover for Hawkeye #6, drawn by David Aja. Another nicely designed cover by Aja.
Marvel comics for December 2012: this is the cover for Hawkeye #5, drawn by David Aja. This is perhaps the prettiest visual with blood splattered over an antique (i.e. a video tape).
Valiant is relaunching its comic lines, and this is the variant cover for Bloodshot #1, drawn by David Aja.
Final Hawkeye cover for now: this is the cover for Hawkeye #3, drawn by David Aja, which continues the excellent use of colour and design seen in all three.
As promised, this is the cover for Hawkeye #2, drawn by David Aja. I love the sense of design he is bringing to these covers.
Marvel announced a new Hawkeye ongoing series, written by Matt Fraction and David Aja (a team that worked so well on the excellent Immortal Iron Fist). The covers are also by Aja, and they are such beautiful pieces that I’m going to post the first three in succession. This is the cover to the first issue.
DC comics for May 2011: my first selection of interesting covers from the solicitations is the variant cover for Green Arrow #12 by David Aja. His artwork on The Immortal Iron Fist was great, and this cover shows it isn’t limited to Marvel or martial arts characters.
A preview of the Marvel solicitations for July at Newsarama: this variant cover to Immortal Weapons #1 by David Aja is not only gorgeous but also a nice reminder of the great run by Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction and Aja on The Immortal Iron Fist, as they revived Danny Randall and made him an ongoing concern in the Marvel universe again.
