Valiant is relaunching its comic lines, and this is the variant cover for Bloodshot #1, drawn by David Aja.
There are so many lovely images sitting on my computer that I would like to share with y’all, however most of them have yet to be previewed or even mentioned by the publishers that have commissioned them so I am unable to let u feast upon their chromadelic goodness for a while. This one, however, has just been previewed by DC Comics. It’s the variant cover to The Shade issue 9 (which I have also drawn the interiors for) and will be published shortly (as of this typing). I’m quite proud of it because of reasons. I hope some of you like it too (and then go buy the comic/legitimate digital download).
This is the Bryan Hitch variant cover for Action Comics #10, which looks really good [via The Source].
More comic book covers to celebrate The Avengers movie: this is the Avengers variant for X-Men #27, drawn by Khoi Pham.
Continuing appreciation for The Avengers movie (which was AWESOME) by posting Avengers-related covers. This is the Avengers variant for Amazing Spider-Man #683, drawn by Mike Del Mundo.
Marvel comics for July 2012: a small selection of my favourite covers the this month’s solicitations. To start with, we have a variant cover for Avengers Vs X-Men #8, drawn by Alan Davis. Not only is it a dynamic image, but I like the little bits of Avengers history falling in the image as well.
This is the variant cover to Batman #9, drawn by Dale Keown, as revealed at The Source. Keown’s style sells the image, which is a very basic Batman visual, but in a good way.
Marvel comics for June 2012: this is the variant cover for The Mighty Thor Annual #1, drawn by Art Adams. He’s such a good artist that he can just draw the character against a plain background and it’s still a brilliant visual.
Marvel comics for April 2012: this is the variant cover to Wolverine #304, drawn by Dale Keown, my final selection of of visuals from the solicitations. He does draw a good Wolvie.
Another variant cover (but not from Art Adams): this is for Incredible Hulks #624, drawn by Dale Keown. He always drew a great Hulk, and I love the difference in size between the Hulk and Captain America in this dynamic visual.
Another piece of Art Adams, er, art: this is the variant cover to Fantastic Four #600, which is a re-creation of Fantastic Four #82 (as demonstrated by the excellent blog I Love Comic Covers).
Art Adams theme continues. This is a homage cover to Incredible Hulk #181, famous for being the first comic Wolverine appeared in.
I’m of a mind to have a collection of theme posts, which shall be … Art Adams, who I think is awesome. This is the variant cover to Invincible Iron Man #500.
More Leinil Francis Yu artwork: this is the variant cover to Secret Invasion #1, a particularly dramatic visual.
